I was on my way to becoming an academic dental researcher when I fell in love with pediatric dentistry. There were so many aspects of being a pediatric dentist that drew me in, most of all helping children develop excellent dental habits and a lifelong love of the dentist. Childhood is truly the best time to educate our little patients and their families about how to maintain healthy smiles. I am passionate about the prevention of cavities and other dental issues, and would be honored to a play a role in ensuring your child has the best oral health possible.
I feel very lucky to be a part of the Pillar Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics family. My care philosophy perfectly mirrors that of both Dr. Charlie and Dr. Ari, and as a team, we take pride in setting the stage early for a lifetime of positive dental experiences.
I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at SUNY Stony Brook University, as well as my PhD. in Oral Biology. I then completed a specialty residency in pediatric dentistry at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. There I learned the most up-to-date methods in our field and how to incorporate new techniques, materials, and equipment into our practice.
Part of my motivation to become a dentist is that it is a profession of lifelong learning. I love to attend conferences, seminars, and lectures, both locally and throughout the country. This allows me to interact with colleagues and stay current so that I have the most knowledge and the best tools to help my patients.

I grew up in Farmingdale, Long Island, and it was at Farmingdale High School that I first met my husband, Dave, who is a registered nurse. After completing my dental training, I came back to Long Island and settled once again in Farmingdale. When not working, I enjoy taking our dog Rufus for long walks, traveling, attending NY Islanders games, and spending time with my friends and family. There is no place like home, and I am proud to be back and serving our Long Island community.
